Fruit picking and every day life in Rohr

We walked down to the fields in Rohr to pick strawberries one day. It was so much fun! The lady selling the strawberries didn't speak English but she said enough for me to understand. I am so glad I can get buy with limited German! And that people are patient with me!

Horses!

We bought apples at a farm vending machine! They had strawberries, raspberries, apples, eggs and potatoes.

These are cherries from the tree at our house. Frau Bettina said we could pick as many as we liked. They were really sweet!

Frau Bettina had this jam for us when we came to stay. Delicious!

Sitting in the garden.

Playing outside and going for a walk. Also, we line dry all our clothes here. We've never had a dryer as an option. The washing takes 2 hours per load. And once I accidentally put it on the 2.5 hr setting. I'm used to doing laundry at home with 5 washers and 8 dryers. I could be done with 5 loads in an hour and a half :) But I really like the air-drying option, that's how we dried clothes growing up too. I feel it's gentler on clothes.
