Apartment #3 - "Deniz' Zentral Modern Apartment"

After about 2 weeks of contentment at Konni's we had to move to another apartment for 4 days before moving to the next, more permanent "home". There just happened to be a 4 day gap in our plans and it was a tad tricky to move us. We found Deniz' apartment and it was a great location and he was really nice! So we planned that I would pack the bags and leave them at Konni's. Then I would take the girls and I to meet Deniz (about 20) away to check in to the apartment. Everything went well and we waited until Chris was off work to meet back up at Konni's to get the rest of the bags and take them to Deniz'. We met up and took the bags back to Deniz' but realized it was going to be a work out!! Deniz' lives on the 6th floor up 10 flights of stairs, no elevator! 86 steps total! Insert the Iron Man theme again as Chris lugged all 5 suitcases up (and back down when we left 4 days later!). We enjoyed the apartment because it had a lot of windows, being the top floor of the building has its perks! He had a water bed, Mario Kart, bean bag chair and a nice couch. His apartment was very organized, small, but functional as all we are realizing all German apartments are.

One night it was incredibly hot (no A/C) and we couldn't sleep. We found a fan and put it in the window sill. Chris assured me it wouldn't fall out the open window, there's no way! Guess what woke us up at 4 am...a huge gust of wind from a rain storm rolling in! The fan was then lowered from the window sill in a quick hurry!

Incredible sunset from the roof.

The water bed that was really comfortable!

Kitchen with all the essentials in the tiny space. And the bathroom.

This was a brand of the kitchen cabinets that were very similar to IKEA.
