Triberg, Germany

From Fussen we set out to see Triberg, Germany which is in the Black Forest and also the Cuckoo Clock Center of the universe. On the way we stopped and bought some plums and cherries from a stand by the road. We drove in to Triberg and loved it from the second we drove in! They had huge flower displays and cute shops to browse. We found a cuckoo clock we liked and bought it, enjoyed lunch of bratwurst and fries, then Chris, Fiona and I went on a hike to see the Triberg Waterfalls.

Mom and Naomi went to the museum and learned a lot about the area and the culture in Triberg. We bought some souvenirs and went to find the biggest working cuckoo clock in the world. We tried about 4 times to get there but we would end up in a parking lot. After the last time we found we were by a store that said world's biggest cuckoo clock (and a lady even pointed us to the shop as out destination) but it didn't match the picture in our brochure. We had fun circling the town and found a very pretty countryside too. We never found the one we were looking for so maybe there are two "world's largest cuckoo clocks". So we gassed our cute car up and headed home!
